Growing up I loved playing sports and being active. I played baseball, football, and basketball. I always liked football but it did not become a passion until 8th grade and that's when I told my parents that I wanted to play football in college. As a freshman I played on the JV and Freshman teams, however, as a sophomore I got a really bad injury during summer practice. This moment in my life helped me grow as an athlete and individual. It taught me the lesson to work hard and never give up even when times are difficult. I was fortunate to have a great support system who cheered me on and supported me, and when I came back the second week of the season the coaches started me at safety. By the last half of the season I was called on to start at quarterback, playing on both sides of the ball.
I learned the value of hard-work, dedication, and determination during that season. Since then I've been working even harder to up-level my skills so that I may continue my journey and follow my dreams. I'm looking for a program that will challenge me everyday on and off the field, in the classroom, weight room, and football field. Not only do I believe that I have the talent to play on a college team, but the work-ethic, character, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on the team. As a three year varsity starter, I know what it takes to work-hard, be a good teammate and friend, but also to be a great leader on your team!
