Personal Statement
My Freshmen year was a rough start, transitioning from middle school to high school was a big step for me. Balancing football with academics was a struggle; However, I did not quit. Freshmen year I finished with 2 D's on my transcript. In my sophomore year I was determined to become the student athlete I knew I could be. I am now through 2 marking periods averaging straight A's, and doing much better overall. I am also involved with Next Level Greats Football Club which is a traveling 7v7 organization. My talents and my grades are only getting better, and I do not plan on stopping.
Work off the field is just as important as work on the field. I learned this the hard way, but it is better to learn late then never. I believe i have the size and athletic ability to play at the top division 1 schools. I plan on putting in the work day in and day out, on the field, off the field, and especially in the classroom to achieve my goal. It has been a dream of mine to play college football at the division 1 level since I could remember. What separates me from other recruits is my will to keep going. Through my life I have dealt with many hardships, but the word quit never came to mind. The word quit is not in my dictionary, and I'm willing to give anything, and everything I have for the program that gives me the opportunity to continue my football career at the college level.
