Personal Statement
I am a very physical (nasty) 6'1, 235 lb. Middle Linebacker/Runningback/Fullback.
In college, I will never be out worked off of the field, nor out physicalled on it. In addition to my commitment to football, I will also achieve at the highest levels academically, while never getting into trouble on or off of the field.
I play the game like I have a chip on my shoulder, out to physically dominate every player I go against.
To gain every advantage I can to accomplish that, I work like a beast in the off season. My goal is to have NO ONE out work me on or off of the field. I believe that good plays during the season are made through hard work in the off season. My off field work includes year round weight lifting (I can now rep 225 Lbs. 20 times without arching or bouncing, and with full lockout. I dont cheat the lift), dieting to produce lean muscle mass and low body fat, and speed and agility conditioning, all under the supervision of a private trainer with whom I have worked since I was 13. I am a very disciplined student and hope to continue to achieve at the highest levels academically in college. My goal is to work in the finance industry once I graduate. Knowing how competitive it is to get into finance, I am interested in attending an elite academic university which will help me get to "Wall Street."
I hope to major in international economics, as I am interested in international affairs having grown up in Mexico and speaking Spanish fluently.
Unfortunately, my family is unable to afford the cost of college tuition by themselves, and financial aid will be necessary. I am currently on financial aid at my prep school, Lawrenceville, and should qualify for aid as well in college.
