Personal Statement

Football was not the sport i ever dreamt of ever coming to love in every aspect of it. I started playing football for a recreation team in my town, at first i didn't know what football even was or even heard about it.  But just because i didn't know about the sport didn't mean i shouldn't try it.   My first year playing football made me realize what i wanted to do with my life. I fell hard for the game every moment i touched the ball i was excited it was an amazing feeling, and from that day i told myself this sport was made for me, and i wont stop till i made something out of it.

The day i realized that football was the main sport i wanted to play i went straight to work. I started training to get faster, stronger, and bigger I kept pushing myself to my breaking point, i didn't care about the sweat, the pain, anything i was focused on one goal and one goal only to go to the next level and do the same thing i have been doing my whole life in football. I worked hard on the field to be a leader for my team, but if my team mate was not working to his full potential we were all not working to our full potential. The one thing i can guarantee any coach is that i am one of the hardest working players you will find, and the amount of heart i have for this game is bigger than anyone you'll ever meet i give you my word on that.

I don't only push myself on the field, but also in the classroom. Having good grades is important to me because without them i am not going anywhere in life. I push myself to get a good GPA, i respect all my teachers and try to keep a good relationship with them because i know they all work hard for us so i repay them back and work ten times harder. Many people see me as a leader in school some kids even look up to me to become a good football player as me, and just the fact i know that makes me happy that i am changing or helping a students life. I want to continue with my dream so i can even help my mom through everything cause this dream i have is not only for me, but everyone who has believed in me my whole life.

Going to college is my main goal. I wish to attend a college that i will be welcome to and i feel as if it was home. I know its going to be difficult to get accepted to some of the colleges that are out their, but to me theres no limits in what you put your mind into to. You just have to work hard, and put effort in everything you do because at the end of the day you know you accomplished your goal by yourself without anyones help, and the satisfaction of that goal is the best feeling in the world. I hope this statement about myself helps you to know the kind of person i am, and what i want to do in my life i might be another athlete just trying to make it to you, but i am different from anyone else because i am myself. I am Jesse Asare.
