Rob Ennis Jr '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Rob Ennis Jr. I have enjoyed the
game of football for as long as I can remember. I spent much of my childhood on
the football field and learned the lessons of hard work, dedication and
commitment from a young age. I am a 14 year old freshman varsity player. The
transition from youth football to High School was accelerated by my opportunity
to compete for a roster spot on the Team USA U-15 Team for the 2012 season. I
competed against some of the best and brightest football players from around
the world. Having the opportunity to compete on such a stage against players
from Sweden and Canada helped me to mature to a degree that allowed me to
compete for a varsity spot on my High School football team. The experience has
been humbling as I have faced players who are older and more experienced, but
over all I have accepted the challenge and played to the very best of my
ability each week. I am 5'9" tall and weigh 160lbs. My speed and vision
are my best attributes. My focus in the off season is gaining strength and
putting on a little more mass. After High School I expect to play college
football and continue doing the things that I have always done to help my team
achieve success. I have always had to find the balance associated with being a
student athlete. The rule has always been simple. No grades no play. So the
only thing that trumps my desire to play football is my desire to maintain good
grades in school. A hundred yards is a hundred yards and I will play anywhere
however I am partial to warm weather. But I can adapt. That’s what good players
have to do...adapt and adjust. I may qualify for financial aid when the time
comes as my parents are not wealthy and both work hard to make ends meet but I
am hoping to use my gifts and abilities to earn my own way. I will take the
lessons that I have learned all my life to get where I want to go. Nothing is
given...Everything is earned.
