Personal Statement
My goal is to find a school that expands my horizons, a coach that will never settle for less than 100% and a team that appreciates me as much as I do them. I am a team player, and it is the team that motivates me and gives me energy to push my limits. I get great satisfaction from making a clutch tackle to prevent the first down, but just as much from creating the perfect opening for our back to pick up some yards. I feel great pride in seeing my name in articles or even just announced after a play, but true satisfaction from the energy from teammates and coaches when I come off the field.
As a sophomore, I earned my spot to be a starter on both sides of the ball. I know I have to earn that every single practice and game too. I am not afraid to put in the work or ask for help to constantly improve. I not only push myself, but have taken a leadership role on my team to push those that need it. I was humbled to have received the team award sophomore, as well as earn 2nd team All-Conference and All-Herald. My junior year, even with Covid making the season difficult, I was able to better myself and continue to learn. I was awarded 1st team All County, 1st team All Conference and 1st Team NJ Herald. Additionally, I am proud to have received the game ball twice in a short season, athlete of the week and called out by the papers and sites as a "player to watch".
While football is important to me, school fitment is crucial. My current mindset is around a business degree, so a strong business program is important. I believe I would be best suited to medium to large school, with a preference to the eastern part of the country.
