Ever since I stepped on the field in the second grade football was my passion. As a bigger kid every year I had to work hard to maintain the weight you needed to stay in the league something not many third, fourth or fifth graders would do. Many of my friends dropped out but I stayed dedicated. In the fifth grade I didn't make the weight but my coach said I could play up. It was the best experience for me because I was playing with older, smarter kids. This taught me to listen and learn. The first play book I was handed I spent hours memorizing. I believed that you had to study for the game as hard as you study for school. I love being part of a team and working together to achieve a common goal. My position may never be in the papers but without me doing my job none of my team mates would be able to score touch downs and advance down the field, that in and of itself is enough gratification for me. I play for my team not myself.
