I have learned much from the sports that I have played throughout my career. I understand, first hand, that hard work pays off and that sportsmanship and teamwork are two of the most important qualities one gains from competitive sports. I have realized that dedication and perseverance is as vital as athletic ability, and attitude and confidence is essential to success. Though sports has been an integral part of my life, I have been influenced and molded mostly by my amazing family. I was truly fortunate to be the fifth child of two special and supportive parents that inspired and encouraged me through all the highs and lows, not just in sports but in my academics, my faith, and all aspects of life.
My four siblings have also influenced me greatly. All four of my siblings have played college sports, three at a Division I level and one at a Division III level. Their enthusiasm and devotion to their school and their sport has been an inspiration to me. I understand the amount of time that they had to devote to succeeding in their sport and to excel in their studies, and I am so proud that they all were able to play on their team and for their college every single year that they were in school. I feel that I can compete at a high level and, like my siblings I know that I can find the college that will be a good fit both academically and athletically and I will give my all to my team and my school, every year that I can.
