Jack Huber '21 Recruiting Profile

    From the windows of the field house, looking down over the electric atmosphere of my high school stadium, the anticipation builds amongst my team. Every Friday night, my task is to rally and inspire my teammates. I know this is exactly where I belong. I have been a Varsity starter for Football, Basketball, and Volleyball since my Freshman year. In the history of all three Toms River High Schools, I was the first Freshman to ever start as the Varsity Quarterback. I started all ten Football games and earned the Rookie of the Year award at the end of the season. My extensive experience as a Varsity athlete has given me the skills and mindset to deal with pressures on the field.

    I have run what many people have called a flawless, no-huddle offense. I am commonly looked at as a “Player Coach” on the field, constantly making in game changes and strategizing with my coaches and teammates. I am the brains of the offense and with the triple option attack which runs through me, some would say I have a lot on my plate. At this point most players crumble, but this is where I thrive. It is all about preparation. I have learned that by studying the opponents before a game, and preparing mentally and physically will payoff come game time. This is how I become the X factor of the game, and possess the ability to turn a game around.  

    I am lucky to have a strong family base that supports me in everything I do.  I always know that they are in the stands cheering me on. I am a powerful role model for my cousins and peers on and off the field.  I take pride in how I carry myself, and in the reputation I have built among my community.
