I have been playing football since the age of 6. I am currently a 3 year starter on varsity. I have had the passion to play at the collegiate level since middle school. To reach this goal I have worked very hard at school sponsored workouts and additional independent workouts outside of school. I play Defensive End and Offensive Tackle, however I am open to learning a new position and playing where the coach feels I fit best for the team as a whole. There is so much more to football than just playing the game. I appreciate the opportunity football offers to be a leader. I enjoy mentoring the younger players coming in. I also take pride in motivating my teammates. I try to lead by example by giving 100% in all I do. Football has also allowed me to serve underprivileged youth during the summer through the local Boys and Girls Club. I enjoy most working with kids that enjoy football but don't have the full ability to play. I know I have what it takes to play at the college level and I don't want my football experience to end at High School. I want to make my family proud on and off the field. I feel football presents the opportunity for me to do that. I would like to study Sports Science. I have an interest in Physical Therapy. School work has not been my strongest suit but I go to tutoring, on my own time, before and/or after school. That is one thing I am looking for in a college; a strong tutorial program available to me if I feel I need that type of support.
