Maxwell Gorton '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Max Gorton. I'm a 6'0 junior and currently weigh 210 lbs. Some of my most important athletic accomplishments are making 1st team fullback for my league ( Finger Lakes West) as a junior, also playing varsity football as a sophomore. What I can bring to a team is my knowledge of the game,my work ethic and posotive attitude.Collegiate athletics are an awesome opportunity that I would love to be a part of while I further my education.I live in upstate New York so it would be prefferable to attend a college relatively close to home so my family may be included in my collegiate football experience.I am looking to attend any size school, I am open to many different schools.My family will request financial need. My desired major at this time is physical therapy, I am also interested in other area's of the medical field.Realisticly my goal is to play D2 football. One thing I would like to include is that in the fall of my Sophomore year I suffered a signifigant knee injury (Torn ACL). I underwent surgery that december, and following knee surgery started physical therapy.If anything this injury I feel has made me stronger.It has also taught me how to deal with adversity. It was a long recovery but I can now say with confidence that I am fully recovered.I know what it takes too come back from an injury like that and that's the kind of hardwork and dedication I bring to the table.
