Personal Statement
Hi coach, my name is Chris Adami from Calhoun High School in Merrick, New York. I am very excited about the prospect of playing football as a student athlete in college. Although I play basketball and baseball, playing football is my passion and I am not ready for it to end after my senior season. I am very fortunate to be part of an amazing high school football program, with great coaches. I always give maximum effort in my classes, my community and on the field.
Academically, I've been an Honor Roll student since I began middle school and currently have a 95% average. I am enrolled in honors and AP classes. In college I would be interested in pursuing a future in electrical engineering. My engineering teacher has recommended me for a summer job in an engineering firm she works for.
In the community I have been selected and am active in Athletes Helping Athletes. This has been a very rewarding experience for both myself and the younger athletes I mentor.
Football is a year round commitment for me. I workout in the schools weight training program 6 times a week. I also work with my individuals coaches Chris Findley from CFIN Performance and Ryan Higgins my quarterback coach. Chris helps with my speed and agility twice a week. I work with Ryan twice a week on fundamentals and the finer points of playing the quarterback position. All of this work is paying off on the field, where during my sophomore year where I threw for six touchdowns and 600 yards in a predominately run oriented offense. While I play baseball and basketball also I schedule my time to ensure these activities are included in my weekly schedule.
I look forward to meeting you during the recruiting process to show you my drive and passion I have for the game of football and the classroom.
