Personal Statement

My name is Lucas Catoggio and I am a two year 19 game Varsity starting Left Guard ('22,'23). I play in the highest competitive division in NY state NYCHSFL-AAA Division. In 2022 I was the only sophomore lineman moved up in the last 15 years for my highly competitive AAA Varsity Football program. I am a versatile, agile, athletic Lineman looking to continue my student athletic career in college. After my 2023 season I was selected NYCHSFL All League Player. Also, I have been selected to lead my team as Captain for the next 2024 Senior year season.

I am currently a Junior holding a GPA of 90/100 (all honors classes) at the top rated academic, Chaminade HS, Mineola NY. I chose Chaminade HS do to its rigorous academic standards knowing this could only help me succeed as a college student athlete. I am interested in studying Business in College and motivated to bring my academic and athletic abilities to help my team at the next level.

In just 2 years back at UMass, Coach Brown and our staff have broken UMass Football’s record for recruiting class rankings in back-to-back years, with the 2022 recruiting class being the HIGHEST rated class in school history!! This Camp is the most comprehensive recruiting preparation available. We will coach you on how to win the recruiting process! Camp counselors will instruct you on the “ins and outs” of high academic recruiting. You will learn what coaches at elite academic schools are evaluating and how best to navigate the recruiting process. This multi-session camp will have both on and off the field instruction. On Field Sessions include linear and lateral speed, agility, flexibility, explosiveness, football specific position drills.
