Matt Levine '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello and thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I would like to briefly tell you a little bit about myself and some of my accomplishments. First and foremost every coach that I have ever played for has always preached that there is no "I" in team. This is something that I truly believe in, it is not my style but I do understand that in this instance it is necessary to speak to my beliefs and successes

Beliefs: Hard Work, Make the Best of Everyday, Team is Family off and on the Field, Respect, Academics come First, There are no shortcuts, Never give up, Be Humble, Be Accountable

My junior season came to end this November, we had a good season however we did come up 4 points short in the Class B playoff final thus keeping us out of the NY State playoffs. I personally led the team in tackles, called the defensive signals, and ranked in the top 3 of all defensive categories on a defense that ended up ranking in the top 10 in the state. I currently stand 6'0 tall weigh 205lbs, can run the 40 in 4.8 and bench in excess of 300lbs. I used the word currently as I will continue to grow and work on increasing and improving my strength and agility. I am a versatile athlete who can play several positions and I am quite willing to do what my team needs.

I  believe that I am a great friend and teammate and I believe that I am very coachable. I apply myself academically ,I  show up to class with the right attitude and I stay clear of trouble and bad situations. 

It is my goal to continue to play football in college, I understand that  to do this at the next level I will be tested both mentally and physically however I have never backed down to any challenge and do not intend to start now.
