Personal Statement
My name is John Murphy, I am in my junior year at South Side High School in Rockville Centre, New York. I am 5'10, 200 pounds. My primary position is Long Snapper but I also play Center and Defensive line. I am currently ranked the 38th best long snapper in the class of 2016 by Rubio Long Snapping. I have attended 8 Chris Rubio Long Snapping Camps and one FBU camp which was run by Chris Rubio. At the one FBU camp I attended in Dublin, Ohio I won the Long snapping accuracy competition and received an invite to the FBU Top Gun camp. I look forward to continuing my Long snapping at the college level. Academically, I would like to pursue a degree in the field of business. As much as I like working towards improving South Side's football program, I feel that improving the community of Rockville Centre is just as important. Every summer I volunteer over 100 hours at a local youth summer camp. I will be an ideal choice for some college because of my commitment and dedication on the football field and in the classroom.
