Personal Statement, Kenny Girard

I have been playing this sport since I was 4 years old at a local flag league.  This sport has been a huge factor of my life. When I began my tackle career at the Pop Warner level I was 25 pounds over the weight limit. I spent my whole summer dieting and working out just to play this sport. I began my High school career freshmen year and quickly made it to the varsity level my Sophomore year. I plan on going through the rest of high school and on to the next goal, the college level. I have been influenced by many people in this sport such as NFL idols and my own father. I have learned many lessons from this sport and have became a better man. I became more disciplined and have become more mentally strong.

My academic ambitions for high school is finish with a 3.5+ GPA and get into a good college for my education and for my football ability. I am a very strong leader. I am a very vocal leader and I am also a good leader by example. I can lead a team no matter what. I have been a captain almost my entire football career. This sport is a huge part of my life and my goal is always make it to the next level, if it means starting or making it to the college level, the goal is always to improve. I know what it takes to be a leader and be ready to work for your team!
