My aspiration for the near future is to be a successful student/athlete at a college that I can contribute to both on and off the football field. I've enjoyed playing football ever since I began at 8 years old. Having played numerous positions since then, I have gained more of an understanding and appreciation of the game. Last year's varsity season gave me the opportunity to start at two positions - outside linebacker and offensive guard, as well as being my team's extra point snapper. I also enjoyed the excitement of playing on all the special teams. As for this year's season, I was a two way starter and played middle linebacker and center. My roles on the special teams were long snapper and extra point snapper. I am very appreciative of the fact that my teammates elected me captain of my Freshman and Junior Varsity teams as well as this year's Varsity football team. My most recent accomplishments are:
2014 NYCHSFL All-Star
2014 NYCHSFL Golden 11 Scholar/Athlete Team
As much as football has become a staple part of my life, my commitment to my education is just as important. I am a scholar student at Monsignor Farrell HS and I'm on a full academic scholarship. Recently, I was inducted into the National Honor Society and nominated for the National Posse scholar program. I plan on furthering my education at a college that can offer me the opportunity to excel academically and in a challenging environment. I look forward to my search for a college that I can contribute my talents to and I thank you for taking the time to consider me for your program.
