Benjamin Calderon '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Benjamin Calderon. I am a Senior at Susan E. Wagner High School. I play offensive guard. I started all ten games my sophomore, junior, and senior year on the varsity. I have a 3.3 GPA. I have a 3.25 GPA in my core classes. I also take honor classes and I am in the National Honor Society.I am looking looking to play the sport I love at a high level and to get a good education as well. During the season and off season I lift weights to get bigger, faster, and stronger. Also during the off season my other offensive lineman and I have workouts so we could have better footwork and so we can have better technique. Also during the off season I wake up at six in the morning so I am the first one in the weight room to get better for next season. My team always comes first. It is always nice to receive awards but  this sport is not meant to be played by one person, it is meant to be played by all eleven men. Without my teammates pushing me and making me work hard each and everyday I wouldn't have had the success I've been having.
