Growing up in a small town in NY known as Wyandanch isn’t always the best. We don’t have all the benefits like most other schools such as Farmingdale, Babylon, or even Jericho. Growing up in a town where the schools are poor and crime is high it’s hard to even be recognized as an individual. However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete from feeling the taste of defeat and wanting to become a better teammate as well as a scholar. Despite our small numbers, my teachers and coaches were always willing to aid me in anything I had to do. Ranging from finding extra points on a test or even having a ride to get home from practice That experience helped me grow as a person and lead me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming a solid quarterback/cornerback capable of playing at the college level.
I was unfortunate not to be part of a winning program, but I came to realize not everyone is lucky enough to start off their football career with a great program. I learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership throughout my years of being captain of my track, basketball, and football team. Furthermore, our losing seasons have helped me to become a better athlete by pushing myself to the limits and driving my motivation for that one perfect season. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe I not only have the talent to compete on a college level team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a senior whom has been a three-sport athlete and six-time captain, playing football was one of the best choices I’ve ever made, and I know that I have what it takes to be a leader asset on your team.
