Personal Statement

Playing in college is a step forward in life to me. Im beyond ready to see what these 4 years have planned for me. I kept repeating 5 years, as a saying I'll get through college and go into the NFL. I'm ready to lead my team to championship's and making history. I'll have my teammates back as much as they'll have mines. As a player, my respect goes out to the coaches because they know what it takes to make it to the next level (NFL). Every college players goal is to make it to the NFL and be known as the best college player anyone has ever watched. I never got an interception in the regular season, and my goal is to have at least 5 picks on my first year in college. Tackle's will come but I always wanted to score a touchdown at least 1.  Communication on defense is a big thing for me. I feel like it takes the quarterback out of his game and allows him to forget his play call. Aggressiveness is another thing, you can't play defense being scared and soft. Hard hits shakes the mind of the carrier. Make him want to think twice about touching that ball. I love leading my team and keeping my teammates head's up and stay in the game. Every snap counts no matter who we play. My mindset comes from Ray Lewis, that may sound silly but Ray Lewis is my biggest motivation. The way he talks to his teammates on and off the field, playing while he's hurting, and his famous word is "this is a man's game". Me and Ray play two different positions but I feel like I have his mindset, his aggressiveness, and his football IQ. Film study is one of my favorite things to do believe it or not, I just want to get a feel of the opponents action while their winning or losing. What they do when their down and 3rd and long or 3rd and short. Who's their #1 player to go to. What's their trick play and their most go to play.

Class work is one of my biggest responsibilities, as though it should be. I have been prepping myself to do homework before I do anything. I challenge myself mentally to get ready for college level and reminded myself "no homework no football". Although colleges coaches don't look at that as much as your athletic skills, the teacher does and if I failed in the classroom, I failed myself as a young man and a player. If I need to get a tutor to help on school work then I will without hesitation. School is important to me as much as football. I don't want to be a dummy in class and a star on the field, I refuse to waste my mom's money on my stupidity.

I look forward meeting people from all around the world. I'm a very shy guy if I don't know you. Just give me a minite and I'll come out eventually. I'm a very talkative person and love to talk about sports and a couple TV shows. I'm not interested in females at the moment so you don't have to worry about me chasing Samantha. New people always catch my attention and learning about new places is something I look forward to. I don't hang out much, I like to play video games, watch YouTube, and play with my brothers. But now they won't be living in the dorm with me, I just look forward being the best of friends with my roommate.
