Personal Statement
Since I was 5 years old football has been a huge part of my life! My family and I plan out each year around sports, whether it’s my sister’s softball or my football we are constantly making sure we make strides to improve. It has been like this every year since I began playing, from the time the season ends I evaluate what I could have or should have done better to help the team, and I start getting ready all over again with preparation for the upcoming season. I reach out to coaches and some teammates to ask them what they saw during the season and what they want me to work on in the off-season to help us reach our goals. I absolutely love it, the work in the off-season and the struggles I go through with my team throughout practices, regular season games or the playoffs. I want to win games, but I know it will take more than me alone which is a huge reason why I try to do my part in the off-season with preparations to help everyone on the field be more prepared to face the other team.
I do all this preparation knowing that it helps me be a better leader on and off the field for my team. I have always been one that knows how to approach teammates without them getting offended that I am correcting them, because they know I am only trying to help us be better. My goals through the rest of my High School career are to be the best athlete I can be both individually and for the teams I am a part of, all while trying to win state titles in both Football and Track during my High School career. My collegiate goals are to find a school that can provide me with a quality education in the Forensic Psychology or Criminology fields to help prepare me for my life after football, in exchange for me to continue playing football at the highest level possible for the school and helping them win championships.
