Personal Statement
Hey Coaches,
I’m a junior playing defensive back at Trinity Christian School. I left Seventy-First to go to a private school for better education, and better athletics. I mainly play Corner and Free Safety, but this year I hope to get some work at Slot Receiver. I’m a very flexible player, I try my hardest at whatever position my coaches may put me at I’m a dedicated student athlete, playing football, basketball, baseball & track/field. I choose to focus my skills toward football and Track/Field to condition, gain speed, and maintain top athleticism for the next sport season. I keep an A/B average and strive to accomplish straight A’s every year.
My drive and independent work ethic are what make me different from other athletes. I love the contact and techniques of each sport so when I play, I’m putting my all on the field or track. When I’m not playing, I like to encourage my teammates and stay engaged in every play. I don’t shy away from leadership and try to make sure my teammates on and off field are on the same page. I’m always working to better myself and push my skills further, even when i’m playing a different sport. I look forward to showing you my talents and learning from you through new experiences.
Over the break I wanted to gain weight, become stronger, and work on my speed. I worked everyday to become better, and be ready for the season. I gained 15 pounds, got my bench max up from 185 to 230, and got my squat max up from 245 to 305. I strive to keep working, and keep working my hardest to get where I want to be.
Going into my Junior Year, I strive to start at wherever the coaches may put me at. I want to make All Conference, have more than 30 tackles , and lead my team in interceptions. That is a big step, but i'm willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish my goals for next year. Also I want to have a 3.75-3.8 GPA, and move up in the ranks in my class.
