Personal Statement
My name is Quentin Williamson. I have played football since I was six years old. I first began playing peewee football with the YMCA and then moved on to play for the Greensboro Ravens - Pop Warner. In 2015, my team won the Mid South Pop Warner Championship and advanced to play in the Super Bowl located in Florida. This was a very exciting time and it only solidified my passion for football.
What makes me a good candidate for any team is that I play with everything I have and if I don't have it, I get it by working hard on and off the field. I am ambitious and I have worked extremely hard throughout the years to be the player I am today. I train all year long and attend many football camps and combines. Currently, I attend Grimsley High School where I play the position of Middle Linebacker. I am a Leader and a Captain on the Varsity Football Team. Everyday, I assist and push my teammates so that we can be the best we can be. In 2018, I was voted Metro 4A Conference All Conference - All Area Linebacker and Tackle Leader. I am proud of my achievements and I am blessed to have had the opportunity to work with some really amazing coaches.
Not only am I passionate about football, but that passion also extends to helping others. I volunteer by mentoring middle school students and I assist my mother with her charity work with the homeless by passing out food and clothing. I am driven to succeed in all areas of my life. My number one goal is to always be better than what I was yesterday. I know that my actions are a direct reflection on my family, my school, my coaches and my team. Therefore, I carry myself with respect and honor.
As I get closer to graduating high school, I am more focused on finding a college that excels academically, as well as, athletically. I would like to major in business and play football while I am working on obtaining my degree. I have set many goals for myself and college is a major step to helping me achieve all of my goals.
