Donovan Hayes '17 Recruiting Profile

I am member of the Class of 2017 at Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg, North Carolina.  I transferred to Hickory Ridge after my sophomore year and became the starting outside linebacker and a member of all the special team units.  Academically, I have been taking honors-level courses since my freshman year and have worked very hard to maintain a high GPA.

Since my father is a football coach, I have been around the game for as long as I can remember.  I was drawn to the game and started playing at the age of seven and have been a starter on each team I have been a member of.  Over the last decade, I have learned much about the game and have grown to love everything about it.  I have dedicated myself to becoming the best player/athlete I can be.  Through the process of developing my body and improving my skills, I have discovered what I want to pursue as a profession.   My hope is to find a school that will provide me with the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic career.  One of the most important things for me is to find a school that I can call home for the next four years.
