Matt Johnson '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'3" 210 lb. Senior from the Maiden, NC area and will graduate in 2012. I am a four year starter on Varsity. I started at quarterback for my sophomore season, served as team captain, earned 3 separate player of the week awards, was selected to the all conference team, and was named team offensive MVP. After my sophomore season, I earned an invitation and participated in the National FBU Top Gun QB camp in Williamsburg, Virgina. I earned All Conference status in Track & Field, was named team sprinter MVP and qualified for state championship in the 400 meter dash and high jump. In my Junior season (2010) I achieved a personal goal of being named conference offensive player of the year. Also as a Junior, I received 3 QB MVP awards at the NUC All World Gridiron combine and participated in the Army All American Combine in San Antonio. I am a multi-sport athlete, but football is my focus and my passion. I also maintain a B+ average in the classroom. Ideally I would like to find a college or university where I have the opportunity to earn a quality education and make a significant contribution to the team.
