Vincent Ervin '12 Recruiting Profile

  My name is Vincent Ervin and I am from Trenton North Carolina.  I am a senior at Jones Senior High School striving to excel until my graduation date in June. 

  I play Varsity Football for the Jones Senior Trojans and my position is, but not limited to, a linebacker.  I am 6ft tall and I currently weigh 240 pounds.  I joined the football team my sophomore year and I have accomplished great things as a player.  For my four years I have been named All Conference and All Area and for my senior year I was named the Defensive Player of the Year.  One thing that drives me to play football is the feeling I have of helping my team succeed.  Being Team Captain this year has taught me how to be an effective leader, taught me discipline, on and off the field, and it has taught me to be a positive role model for up and coming players. It gave me great pleasure to lead a squad of 24 to the State Championship this year in Raleigh, and although we didn’t win, we were winners because we had made history for our school. 

  I strive for success on the football field as well as in the classroom.  I currently have a GPA of 3.2 and I have taken the SAT where I have scored 1320.  I take my studies very seriously because I know that these are the fundamentals I need to succeed in life.  I would like to study Sports Medicine and I am open to becoming a part of any college to where I can obtain this degree and be able to participate in the football program starting my freshman year.  I am confident that the college that I attend will receive an awesome student and football player.
