Hello, I'm Alex Barnwell, outside/middle linebacker at Wake Forest High School class of '27. I started playing football in 2nd grade and it has grown into my life's passion. I am looking to continue my football journey to the college level. Through working with excellent coaches at the Pop Warner, middle and high school levels, I have developed a strong set of fundamental position skills as well strength and mental preparation. Football is my focus!
As a Sophomore, I was eager and happy to mentor younger classmen at our position in our system. We are held to a high degree of leadership and citizenship, nothing less is acceptable at WFHS. This past year, our defense allowed only nine touchdowns in nine games, we accomplished that as a team.
I show up prepared and ready at every practice, film session, and game and I will continue to bring that work ethic to the next level. Currently, I work outside of our school program with a strength and conditioning coach and separately with a linebacker coach.
I have been enrolled in honors and AP classes since my freshman year and currently maintain a 4.05GPA. My academic goals are to graduate college with a degree in criminal justice or communications.
