Personal Statement
I have always had an intense love and admiration for the game of football. From the time my dad introduced me to little league football at the age of 8, my interest and desire to play and learn the game has grown more and more. As I write this now at age 15 as a high school freshman, my hope and desire to continue playing beyond high school has become a focused goal of mine.
Because football has taught me so much in regards to handwork, respect, and honesty I want to strive to display those characteristics to my coaches, teammates, and the school I represent at any level. I take pride in the fact that I work very, very hard and want to always give my best. I have areas that I want to improve upon and grow in and I want to make those weakness my strengths.
My academic goal is to explore either the area of Sports Journalism or Risk Management and Business. I’ve always enjoyed the analysis and stats portion of sports so my knowledge and interest in that field can help me develop a career beyond sports. My family owns a regional Insurance agency so I've had the benefit of observing my dad work hard and develop a business and I hope to someday be involved in our families business.
My family and my faith are the other things that help me to develop on and off the field. The love and support my family gives me and my 2 sisters, who are involved in collegiate dance, are what helps in all areas academically and athletically. My faith helps ground me when things are good and bad.
