My parents and coaches have had a significant impact on me wanting to play football at the collegiate level. I started playing soccer at a very young age, and this led to my transformation into a kicker during junior high. My football and kicking coaches taught me the skills needed to be an effective kicker and I have worked diligently to improve each year.
Becoming our varsity team’s starting kicker as a freshman helped me learn quickly how to become accustomed to pressure situations. During my first season as a kicker, our team made it to the regional semifinals in the state football playoffs. This experience drove me to practice more on my craft, as I realized just how critical the specialist kicking position is to the team. As I continue to grow as an athlete, I am looking for a college that suits me well both academically and athletically. I have the ability and determination to compete at the collegiate level.
