Andrew Schickler '11 Recruiting Profile

I am 6'4", 200 pound two-way starter from Chippewa High School, Doylestown, Ohio. The past four years I have been a starter on varsity. I earned second team All-County both my junior and senior years and the Bill Fouty Most valuable Defensive back award my senior year. On offense I played tight end and wide receiver (either slot man or out wide) and while playing on defense I was either a free safety or outside linebacker. As a member of special teams, I returned kick-offs and punts and was a gunner on both kick-offs and punts. I have no preference on where I play as long as I am helping my team win. The College/University I am seeking will both prepare me for my future and allow me to reach my potential as a football player. The major I am considering is Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement. Division II or NAIA would probably suit me best but I will consider Division III. I prefer to stay in Ohio or in neighboring state so we can maintain regular family visits. Football has been a huge part of my life, over half of it actually. During much of my football career my team has not ended up on the winning side of the scoreboard at the end of the game. Although some teammates have given up during games or even quit the team I have never quit. Quitting is not an option no matter the circumstances. I am a highly competitive person and I don't take losing well. I will do whatever it takes to make my team and myself better.
