Personal Statement
I first started playing football in second grade. I started as a center in bantam. As I moved up through the years, I learned to play multiple positions including running back, linebacker, and safety. My last two years of Little League, I played on the varsity team as starting tight end and defensive end. I loved football so much; I wanted to carry it to the off season by playing flag football before middle school. In middle school, I started the seventh grade team as a tight end and defensive end. In eighth grade, I could not play due to a minor injury after the first game; but, I remained as a member of the team cheering from the sidelines. I returned my freshman year and was moved to right tackle and strong side defensive end. This year as a sophomore, I started right tackle in every game. I was moved a few times on defense to wherever the coaches needed me. I cannot imagine what it would be like to not play football!
Physically, I want to get bigger and stronger through weight training. Mentally, I want to become more confident and focused on each play. Academically, I want to bring my grade point average up and increase my knowledge of the world. Personally, I want to learn how to be a productive and involved member of society. Overall, I want to strive to be the best I can be!
My current grade point average is 3.1. My strongest subjects are history and language arts. I have two years of honors Spanish. My electives include band and choir. I enjoy school and learning about new ideas and concepts.
I want to attend college to extend and expand my education. I want to learn how to think for myself and make decisions, as well as providing an income to live. Most of all I want to learn about criminal justice and what I can do to help make a better world for everyone.
