Personal Statement
Not competing during the coronavirus outbreak of 2020 has been my lowest point as an athlete. My name is Samuel (Sam) Weihrauch and I will compete at the college level. I would be an incredible asset to your program by displaying high character, talent, and leadership. Though I bring athleticism, strength, speed, and instincts my goal has always been to inspire others through my commitment, work ethic, and passion while making a positive impact on my school and community.
My mission will be to continue this passion at the college level. I have always believed hard work pays off. Being a multi-sport athlete; football, basketball, and baseball at the varsity level in the largest division of Ohio (Div. I) is preparing me for the next chapter of my life. I am the ultimate team player who hates losing more than I like winning. I want my teammates to be successful and am a role model for others. I have the talent, character, ability, and leadership to be successful in your program.
My mother ran track and cross country in college earning All-American honors and father too had a successful career playing football at the college level where he was a two-time first-team All-American among other accomplishments and won a National Championship as a strong safety and another as a coach. My goal is to continue this tradition. I have high expectations for myself both athletically and academically. I believe athletics, specifically football teaches you about life. The heart, desire, and will of an individual can do amazing things and I know I have what it takes to make an impact in your program.
