My name is Grant Pennington and I love football. I'm 5'11" and 155 lbs. I play safety and practiced at running back a little but never got any game time there. I have the most fun playing football which is why I want to play football in college. I want to get a college degree in software technology because I find that area to be highly interesting and fun. I'm not super athletic but I do work hard and give my all in every little thing I do. I learned early on that the biggest skill in football is mental ability. My senior year, I was the leader of the defense because coach trusted me to know what to do and when to do it. I want to keep growing on that mental ability, by focusing on my physical ability because if I can get physically better, I would say I'm on par with a lot of college athletes.
