Personal Statement

Coming from such a small school (graduating barely over 100 students a year) there aren't many people on the football team. That makes the number of people that actually put all of their effort into a sport that's so demanding, such as football, even lower. But that doesn't speak for everyone, such as people like me. I have put more than I can even fathom into football when I look at all the time and effort over the years. I live in the weightroom, and have for years. At a small school like mine, most varsity players have to play both sides of the football and special teams, and not just one side of the ball like a lot of the bigger schools do. I feel like that gives me a little bit more of a feel for how the defense works, and how to approach my opponents when I run the ball. But, I also feel that because I have had to play both sides of the ball, and with the effort and things I plan to accomplish this off-season to forward myself physically, that I haven't came close to showing everything that I can accomplish at the running back position. I'm just a small town kid that is looking for a big chance to prove himself, because that's what I have been working so hard to earn, and won't quit until I get.
