I'm known amongst my peers as a hard worker who leads by example. I strive to do the right thing even when no one is watching. I've been successful at balancing my responsibility of maintaining a high grade point average and participating in sports. One of my goals is to compete and earn a starting Cornerback position at the College level. As a result of my hard work and leadership abilities on the field, I was presented with the Team "Defensive MVP" Award and "Best Defensive Back" Award in 2012. I am flexible and open minded to contribute to the success of the team in a positive way. I've been a starter at the Cornerback position on the varsity football team since my junior year. In my senior year I was a starter at the position of Cornerback and Wide Receiver.I love the game of football and I play with confidence. I believe in my abilities to succeed at whatever challenges are set before me.
Another goal of mine is to earn a scholarship from a College or University while majoring in the field of Athletic Training. Academically, I’ve been enrolled in Honors classes since Middle School. l continue to take Honors courses at the High School level. I’ve been selected to participate in College preparatory courses in partnership with my High School and Cleveland State University. I’m currently enrolled in English and Psychology. I’ve been active on the High School newspaper where I learned about Journalism. I was approached about getting involved in the Student Ambassadors Program. During my senior year of high school I’ve been mentoring freshmen in the areas of strong GPA, good study habits, extra-curricular activities, etc. I thought this was an excellent way to give back by way of my experiences and lessons learned. This has been an honor and rewarding experience for me.
