Ever since I started playing the game of football 12 years ago - I have dreamed of playing college ball. With my will and strength, I believe that I can achieve my dream and taking it further than college level. I am a pretty big kid at 17, I am nearly 6'4, 268 pounds, with a wingspan of about 6'8. I am projected to get to about 6'6 - thank goodness to strong family genes of everyone between 6'4 - 7'3. I play defensive tackle and been thrown on offense throughout this year.
Everyday I push myself to conquer the next hurdle in training to get faster and stronger. I am a team player and will always support my team during our highs and lows. This year as a junior I am playing my second year as varsity starter - this was a milestone that I had planned and achieved.
In the classroom, I study hard and keep focus - I push in my studies as well - thus far I am pushing to get the best grades possible. On my spare time, I help raise funds to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis - a disease close to my heart. My older brother has the disease - which only makes me fight harder to be the best. Given the right platform in the future, it can also be helpful for him and assisting in finding a cure. I also mentor middle school city league football and read to the elementary school kids through a program our athletic department put together. I enjoy seeing the next generation get excited about education and football.
With high hopes, I plan on attending a college where I can study, grow intelligence and play the best football of my life. I intend to give the right college my all at all times. At 17, I strive to make a difference in this life and make everyone proud. For my family, my team and myself - I will always give 110 percent.
