Personal Statement
Dear Coaches and College Recruiters,
My name is Alberto Poxes, III. I'll graduate from Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, Ohio in 2022. My plans are to attend college as an Elementary Education major to become a teacher. I'd like to continue to play the sport of football while earning a degree. As a high school student, I've participated in Wings of Hope and Time Out for Me youth programs. As a participant in these programs, I completed many community service projects and activities in my community. I want to keep doing good things in my community, and I believe that getting a college education can help me to do this. I take pride in being a team captain of my team. I embrace the responsibilty. I believe the sport of football has helped me to be disciplined and hardworking. On the field, I put 100% into every play. I listen to, learn from, and respect my coaches daily. I'm a team player. I support my team mates and the team's goals. I love to train and compete. I'd like an opportunity to play for a college program and take my skills to the next level. Thank you for your time.
