When I was adopted from the DR Congo at age 6, I didn't speak English and couldn't do one push up from malnourishment. My parents have helped me grow in health, character and my relationship with Jesus, enabling me to excel in sports and service for others. Catching up academically has been a challenge as I didn't have any schooling before coming to the US, and English was my fourth language.
I’ve been selected 1st team all conference my sophomore and junior years as linebacker. I played varsity on both sides of the field my freshman year. My sophomore year, I led the conference in forced and recovered fumbles and was second in tackles for loss. My junior year I was able to return to football game 3 after recovering from a torn meniscus during my basketball season, and was still selected for first team.
I am currently wrestling and expect to beat the school record in shot put in the Spring. Every sport I’ve played since my freshmen year in high school, I’ve lettered and started. (Football, basketball, track). I also won the OHSAA Junior High Track and Field State Championship for Shot put (48' 5.5") for all divisions.
