Personal Statement
Football has been instrumental in my development as a person. I am the middle child of a football oriented family. I was lucky to be raised in a loving household with my parents and two brothers who also played football. While we are very competitive with one another, as many siblings are, I am very close with my two brothers.
As a football player, I have always tried to get along with all of my teammates, as I realize the importance of being a “team”. I have been fortunate, as the majority of the teams I have been on have had great leadership and coaching. I would say that I am more of a quiet leader, as I try to lead by example...however I will speak up when the situation warrants it.
Regarding my education, I realize the importance of good grades and have consistently been on the “4.0 & above!”, honor roll, or merit roll from middle school throughout high school. I love history, especially American History, and like to read all I can about the subject. As for my expected major in college, I want to study business with an additional focus on finance, as I eventually plan to have a career where I am instrumental in maintaining the profitable operation of a small to medium sized business.
Outside of my school work or playing football, I work as a Sales Assistant for an eBay store owned by my Uncle. This position typically requires me to photograph inventory, research and set pricing of items using a cost analysis, and provide good customer service. I also volunteer my time whenever I am able. I enjoy reading books to elementary students, participating in trash pickup events for my neighborhood, working the W.A.R.M Summer Lunch Club in my community, and helping my elderly neighbors as needed.I am very grateful that we were able to play this year given the situation with the COVID pandemic. I am looking forward to finishing up my high school career in the spring of 2021 and beginning a new chapter in my life playing college football.
