Personal Statement
My dream is not only to attend college it is to graduate from college. I will be the first of my mother’s children to attend college and that alone is a motivating factor for me to graduate. This is not only a dream or goal it is a promise that I made to myself and my mother, I intend on honoring that commitment to her and myself. Earning my degree in Engineering or Political Science my goal is to work hard at either one. I know that hard work pays off and I know I still have a lot of hard work to do. Knowing that many of the athletes I stand next to have played the game for many years. 2012 was my first true year of playing football at the high school level. Going into a high school where football is the dominate sport, I was the low man on the list and I had to put in a lot of hard work and dedication to prove myself as a varsity starting sophomore. I know the assignment my coaches gave me and I executed them. I earned a spot not only on the O Line, but by the end of the season starting on defense as well. I not only love to play football I love the game of football and the I know staying dedicated to my faith, education and family as well as the passion I have for the game of football I will provide with the opportunity to play football at the collegiate level as long as I continue to work hard and stay focused on my dreams and aspirations. I know that I have a lot of work to do and I am dedicated to getting it done on and off the field. In between my studies and athletics I continue to be a leader in my church and community so the kids under me can see an example of a true student athlete. And through my community service my goal is to continue to be a leader and mentor on and off the field. Every lesson that I learn gives me the experience to have great success and gives me the strength to follow my passion knowing that my hard work will someday pay off, and every obstacle that I encounter is only a challenge for me to get through and achieve my dreams my goals and my aspirations without setting limitations for myself.
