Personal Statement
I started playing football in the 6th grade and had the fortune of playing for a state champion high school team as a sophomore. What I enjoy most is the rush I get when preparing to compete against other athletes. Constantly pushing myself to higher levels of performance is extremely rewarding to me, and I realize I can only reach my peak by surrounding myself with other top performers.
Football is particularly appealing due to the extremely physical nature of the sport. It is both mentally and physically grinding, requiring a lot of self-discipline. Self-discipline leads to emotional intelligence, which is a leadership characteristic that I want to continually develop, and eventually master.
Combine this athletic drive with a strong education from a respectable school, and I’ll be well on my way towards becoming the leader and role model that I am destined to be.
