Personal Statement
Since I learned about football in the fifth grade it has become my passion. Since I have been involved I have been a starter on all school teams since the seventh grade. Our school has not been known as a football powerhouse and it has been my responsibility to become the best I can be by being first in practice and going all out to become the best at my position. My freshman year I was able to attend the Bixby Oklahoma OL/DL camp and had the ability to go up against the best of the best in Oklahoma football. As my coaches will tell you I don't back down and learned a lot from that camp. I have had the opportunity to attend that camp twice and learn more each time. I played High School JV as a freshman, was a High School JV starter and lettered on the High School varsity team playing offensive and defensive line along with special teams. My Junior year I was a varsity starter playing offensive line, defensive line and special teams.
Since the fifth grade, I have set my sights to play college ball and become a college student athlete, as this will be the only way I can attend college. The end of last year, and this year have been hard academically on me because the pandemic has forced us into virtual learning which has not been successful for most of us. This year I have been quarantined four times losing over 35 classroom days. I am struggling to keep my grades up and be a self starter to keep them up.
