I have always loved and played sports since I was very young. However, I was not able to play football until my sophomore year due to my old school not offering the sport. Transferring schools and beginning football at a late age was challenging, but it has been one of the best decisions for me. I began playing football midway through my sophomore year, finished the season and then just a few games into my junior year, my season was ended when I suffered a knee injury. I fought hard to come back and now in my senior year, after a lot of work, many camps this summer and even more determination, I’m stronger than ever. I now play various starting positions, on offense and defense. Iron man is tough, but it serves as an excellent opportunity to learn, and it also ensures that you’re in good condition.
I’m not just a football player; I play baseball and basketball as well, and last year I along with my team, qualified for state in track my first year running in two events. I’m also involved in my church where I help with the smaller kids and serve as a sponsor for their summer camps. In addition to my sports and church, I serve as an officer in FFA. I’m also a drummer in a band. We have had several singles on the radio, and one even made the Texas charts. I’m well rounded and strive to learn as much as I can in what I’m involved with.
I’m looking for a college that fits me athletically, but also academically. I want to go to a college where I’m not just a number but can be a part of a team and earn playtime as well as a degree. In return, I offer talent, dedication, a strong work ethic and good character that will benefit others.
