Personal Statement
I have played football since 4th grade, I was always hearing stories of my dad playing and how he loved it, so I figured it would be fun. The biggest influence that I had on me playing was my parents, I want to make them proud and show them that all the money they spent was worth it. The key influence on my life I would have to say was the splitting apart of most of my family, and I'll be the first to admit that math be the reason I'm so slow to give my trust.
As I have played the sport, I've learned that I'm more athletic than I thought I was and I have walls I can still break through. My academic goals for high school was to get into NHS (national honors society) and make at least a 3.80 GPA for my whole high school career. As for college I still want to be in the top of the class and put myself in the best position to continue my education as a physical therapist. The main obstacles I've had to overcome would probably be my asthma, I don't really struggle with it now but I used to need an inhaler at practice.
The unique characteristic I possess is that while I am very quiet I also think a lot. I was one of the 3 people brought into the leadership core of my team by my coach so I'm capable of being a vocal leader. Lastly, I'd be a great fit for your program because I hate getting outworked and I can conform to the leader atmosphere because I come from a very unique high school.
