My personal reasoning for why I think I am a good candidate and will stand out from other recruits is that I am a leader on the field and off. With my team at my hometown, there are some people that choose to think losing is acceptable. Many players on my team think that the offseason is pointless to have and the weight program is just a scam. I don't let them accept that. My coaches put the responsibility in my hands to go pick people up out of bed in the mornings bright and early and make sure they get to the program so they can strive and get better for next season. They put all the pressure on my hands to make sure my teammates are geared up and ready to work every single day. And I humbly accept this responsibility, it's my job as a leader. My head coach talks with me every day what it takes to be at the next level, that's why from him I have learned to always keep it in my head, that someone is always working hard out there, that's why I just have to work harder than them. Something my parents have also taught me is that if you want something bad enough, it will not be easy. You have to work for it. Through school work I have always been harped on to do my studies and to never slack. On the field my father has always been there to teach me things correct and make sure that I put in hours on top of hours of work at what I do. He always told me that once you do it enough, it will become second nature to me. So I just continue to strive and work harder every chance I get until I reach my goal, and that is to play at the next level someday. That is why I think I stand out more than the other recruits.
