My personal email address: [email protected] - I will no longer be using NCSA for communication as of April 1, 2018.
This is what my coach had to say about me in the local paper, “Jay is a freshman who does not operate like a freshman. He makes freshman mistakes, but he’s one of the hardest working kids I’ve been around. It’s not often you have to ask a kid to take a break.'"
I spend my spare time reading classic literature & I enjoy giving back to my community. I make regular donations to:
GET TO KNOW ME: I have athletic videos, off season workouts, and am in the process of making some videos so coaches can get to know me. Here is the link to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC02-OEpD3xU07MOlOzPWd1Q
DONATIONS: I have donated backpacks, school supplies, food, toiletries, Christmas presents, and clothing. I volunteer in the community, too. I helped paint G.A.R. Cemetery, make repairs in local churches, and I assist in putting flags out with the American Legion.
SCHOLASTICS: I help fellow students with their math courses through Algebra 2. I make myself available for tutoring in English & Composition as well as Spanish courses. I have 3 years of Latin (Ancient) study and have taken courses in Logic and fallacy recognition. I plan on taking advantage of concurrent enrollment when I am eligible. I will be taking the ACT for the first time in April (2018). My transcript will be available when the second semester begins. (Due to being a freshman the only thing on my transcript at this time is my Spanish class.)
LIVESTOCK: My parents breed Quarter Horses and I am tasked with their daily care. I am responsible for halter breaking the foals and training the 2 year olds under saddle in addition to feeding, watering, grooming, and picking stalls (mucking). I am interested in 4-H & FFA, but I do not have enough time to wholly devote myself to these additional interests.
CLUBS: I plan on joining Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FCCLA, Rotary Club, Year Book Committee, and taking an active role on the Student Council.
ATHLETICS: 2017 ball boy for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) football team.
QB Hitlist has me listed as the number one Pro style QB in Oklahoma for the class of 2021 and I am ranked 38th on a National level among the 2021 class. Here is a link to my profile: https://qbhitlist.com/qbhl-premium-rankings/#top-ten-qb
This off season I am working to develop my pocket presence, timing, and footwork. If you care to offer any advice or critique please don't hesitate.
ODDITIES: My hand measures 9-7/8 inches from thumb to pinky. My wingspan is greater than 6 feet.
