Personal Statement

My name is Luke Mehlschau and I’m a senior at Santiam Christian High School in Adair Village, OR. I’ve been playing football since 5th grade and looking to continue playing in college. At home, I grew up on a farm outside Jefferson, OR, active in 4-H, FFA and enjoy fishing as much as I can. In the classroom, I’m a 4.0 student taking honors and AP classes. On the football field, I start at linebacker, kicker and punter and rotate in on offense as a slot receiver. For the 2019 season I earned the following All State awards; defensive player of the year, 1st team linebacker & kicker, 2nd team punter. For our conference, I was selected; defensive player of the year, 1st team linebacker, kicker & punter.

In addition to football, I’ve been on the school’s wrestling team for 7 years, competing at the 182 weight this winter. Our season just finished and I was blessed to finish 4th in the state tournament.

I’m currently 6’0", 190 lbs and will graduate high school in June 2020.
