Personal Statement
My name is Zack Schlottmann. I am a 6’3.5” 230lb senior at Glencoe High School. I was recognized my sophomore year as 2nd Team All-League Kicker, and Honorable Mention TE. My junior year I was awarded 2nd Team All-League Defense and Honorable Mention TE, and Kicker. And my Senior year All-League 1st Team Unanimous TE, and All-League DL . I am also ranked a 4-star kicker with Chris Sailer’s Kicking. Currently I am a 3-sport athlete; playing football, basketball, (previously track), and now golf. My freshman year I was awarded varsity letter in both track and football.
I have played almost every position on the field, including the varsity kicker my freshman year. In this last year I have been very focused on weight training. Putting on 20 lbs, I am now twice as strong and a lot more explosive. I have increased my bench by 100 lbs. and my squat by over 150 lbs. I have become a totally different athlete and want the chance to show off all my hard work this year. It was a struggle last season with contact sports on hold and not being able to play here in my home state of Oregon. I'm excited for my senior year!
My goals for college are still somewhat undecided. I have an interest in fish and wildlife, forestry, and fire science. Most importantly to attend a university where I can play football. What makes me different from other athletes is that I am a utility player. I can play every position. My goal has always been to be a player where my teammates and coaches can depend on me anywhere on the field.
I am a dedicated student-athlete that not only works hard to improve my own performance, but also motivate my teammates. I have a strong and consistent work ethic. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about the academic and athletic opportunities your school provides.
