David Sellers '14 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is David Sellers and I am a student-athlete at Cascade Christian High School, Medford, OR. I am perusing my dream of becoming a collegiate football player. I have been playing this great game since fifth grade and can’t think of anything more fun and more rewarding. I am entering my senior year and will be captain this upcoming season. I can, and have played Tight End, Slot, Wide Receiver, Defensive End, Defensive Tackle, and Offensive Tackle during my high school career thus far. As a sophomore starter I received Second Team All-League, defensive end and First Team in 2012 as a junior. I was also voted Second Team All-State for my junior year. I helped my team get to the state semis as a sophomore and to the Championship game as a junior. I will be the only three year returning starter next season. I also believe that school comes before athletics, and I have earned a 3.5 cumulative GPA. I am also dedicated to being in the weight room and have benefitted from personal training. I am a dual sport athlete and have been the starting Center on our basketball team since my sophomore year. My junior year I was a team captain and led my team to the state tournament where we took fourth place. I broke the tournament single game rebounding record by grabbing seventeen boards in the fourth place game. I have received two, first team All-League honors in my 2012 and 2013 seasons, as well as third team All-State in 2013. I averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game. I am a hard worker on the field, the court and in the weight room and am willing to do what ever it takes to get myself to the next level, whether that be switching to a new position or simply out working everyone around me. I am certain I can be a great asset to any team that would give me the opportunity.
