Jacob Hoffner '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jake Hoffner, and I am in the class of 2017. I am 6' 1 and 220 pounds. My primary position is MLB. but I have also played some fullback and tight end. I was a captain and led my team, the Hempfield Area Spartans in Greensburg, PA, to the playoffs in the WPIAL's 6A division this past fall. I am a three-year varsity letterman, and I also received first team all-conference honors at linebacker. I currently have a power clean at 280, squat at 420, deadlift at 520, and a bench at 300. I currently have a 3.7 cumulative GPA, and I scored 1280 on the new SAT. It has always been my dream to play football at the next level while earning the best possible education. I pride myself on being a hard worker and always finishing what I start, and I want to bring that attitude to the team that gives me the opportunity. Preferably, I want to stay closer to home in the Pennsylvania region at a University with a reputation for a great education, as well as winning. I want to major in Economics, and minor in Political Science. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an impact on a team sooner rather than later and help a team win championships, but I am open to every opportunity to play at the next level.
